Film maker Srijit Mukherji is back with his latest movie ‘Uma‘, presented by SVF Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., which is based on the true incident of Evan Leversage. It is a story about a young girl who is fighting a terminal disease, her father who struggles to fulfill his daughter’s wishes, and a director who is haunted by his past. Starring Jisshu Sengupta, Sara Sengupta, Anjan Datt, Rudranil Ghosh, Anirban Bhattacharya, Sayantika Banerjee, Srabanti, Babul Supriyo, Gargee Roy Choudhury, and others, the film maker promises to touch all our hearts this time by his own story, screenplay and dialogues.
Here’s one of the finest songs from the movie, “Hariye Jawar Gaan” penned, sung, and composed by none other than Anupam Roy. Since now we know the basic outline of the film’s story, we can easily relate to the song and indeed, the mellow tunes touch the listener’s heart with its casual and free flowing, yet powerful lyrics. After all, that is what Anupam Roy is famous for! Though not much is comprehensible from the video, it is a ‘MUST WATCH’ for those who really want to understand the song with all its depth and emotions. The name “Hariye Jawar Gaan” literally means “The Song of Getting Lost”. However, the beautiful lyrics and tune of this song never really gets lost but rather creates its own space in the minds of the viewers!
