After the completion of Churni Ganguly‘s ‘Tarikh‘, the announcement of Opera Movies‘ next film ‘Bijoya‘ was done at a city hotel a few days back. As we all already know, after the huge success of Kaushik Ganguly‘s national award winning film ‘Bishorjon‘, the idea of making its sequel ‘Bijoya‘ was announced. Present at the much awaited event was director Kaushik Ganguly, producer Suparnakanti Karati, actors Abir Chatterjee, Jaya Ahsan, Lama Halder and others.
Announcing that the cast will remain the same as ‘Bishorjon‘, with Abir and Jaya playing the pivotal roles, Kaushik Ganguly further declared that the background music of the film and some of its songs will be scored by Indraadip Das Gupta. While speaking to the media he also added: “Moreover, I can’t think of a sequel without Kalikaprasad Bhattacharjee, so his songs will be a part of Bijoya“. The film will track Nasir and Padma‘s story further. Apparently, Padma will come to Bengal and the film will show how she copes here! Bijoya in general is linked to having and sharing sweets and this film, Ganguly declared, “its a sweet love story” and is the result of people’s demands.
“We received huge amounts of love and appreciation from the audience after Bishorjon. So this time the duty has grown manifold. I won’t say much but instead I will focus on letting the work do the job” said Abir Chatterjee. The film’s shooting will begin from end of May this year. To know more, stay with us!
